My client is seeking a reliable and detail-focused Packer to join their production team. This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys working to targets while maintaining high quality standards. Full training will be provided.
Responsibilities
- Packing toothed steel connector plates into cardboard boxes by hand from a press-fed conveyor track
- Completing quality control and production records accurately
- Liaising with the Production Controller as required
- Working to targeted production figures
- Maintaining a tidy and safe working environment
- Working to a paid hourly rate with an additional packing bonus
- No heavy lifting is required in this role
Skills and Requirements
- No previous experience required as full training will be provided
- A reasonable level of fitness
- Good hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity
- Ability to learn and remember different packing methods for various products
- Ability to work independently but also as part of a small team when required
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy over speed
- Ability to pack in excess of 15 boxes per hour once trained
- Own transport is required due to limited public transport links
