We are currently recruiting experienced 7.5 Tonne Drivers to join our busy Liverpool depot. This is an ongoing opportunity with the potential to become permanent for suitable candidates. The role involves carrying out both collections and deliveries while providing excellent customer service. Manual handling is a key part of the position, with drivers assisting in the loading and unloading of parcels at both depot and customer locations. Drivers will also be responsible for using handheld devices and company software to update delivery information, track consignments, and maintain communication with the depot throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Complete collections and deliveries safely and efficiently.
  • Load and unload parcels at depot and customer locations.
  • Conduct vehicle checks and comply with transport regulations.
  • Use handheld devices and company systems to update delivery statuses.
  • Maintain communication with the depot and report any issues promptly.
  • Deliver excellent customer service at all times.

Essential Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence with entitlement to drive 7.5 tonne vehicles.
  • Valid Driver CPC qualification.
  • Valid Digital Tachograph Card and willingness to use it at all times when driving.
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience driving 7.5 tonne vehicles or similar.
  • Good understanding of driver compliance and road safety regulations.
  • Ability to carry out manual handling duties.

Pay Rates

  • Standard Rate: £16.05 per hour
  • Overtime Rate: £23.43 per hour (paid after 40 hours worked)
