We are seeking a proactive, analytical and field driven individual to join our Operations team as a Parking & Public Realm Associate for the West Midlands. This role will be fully focused on designing, delivering and managing a high quality parking network that enables a safe, reliable and accessible micromobility service. You will spend significant time on the ground assessing potential parking locations, working with local stakeholders and landowners, and translating real world insights into compelling parking proposals for councils, partners and communities.
From shaping our launch parking strategy to owning ongoing parking performance once live, you will play a critical role in ensuring the scheme is easy to use, trusted by cities, and scalable for future growth. This is an ideal opportunity for someone who enjoys on street research, stakeholder engagement, and turning complex spatial challenges into clear, practical solutions.
What you’ll do?
- Conduct on street assessments across the West Midlands to identify high potential parking locations. This includes analysing footfall, demand generators, transport links, visibility, accessibility and rider behaviour to inform where parking should be placed.
- Translate field research and data into clear, visually compelling parking proposals for local authorities, private partners and internal stakeholders. This will include maps, density modelling, phased rollout plans and site justifications.
- Identify and engage with private landowners, businesses, universities and developers to secure new parking locations. You will support negotiations, site approvals and onboarding of new parking assets.
- Review existing on street infrastructure and identify opportunities to rebrand, repurpose or upgrade assets to increase visibility, compliance and scheme consistency.
- Once live, monitor rider compliance, parking friction and operational issues. Work with data and field teams to identify problem areas and implement improvements.
- Use insights from rider behaviour, complaints, heat maps and field observations to continuously refine the parking network and propose scalable solutions for future growth.
About you?
- Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English language.
- Experience in a professional setting (internship, entry-level operations role, or equivalent experience preferred) with exposure to operational processes and workforce management.
- Strong work ethic with an entrepreneurial mindset, and a readiness to take on increasing levels of responsibilities and a commitment to enhancing stakeholder management and collaboration skills.
- Ability to understand data to assist operational leadership with decisions around cost optimisation and operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with Excel and Google Sheets.
Working hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 6:00pm (flexibility available). The ideal candidate will be a university graduate seeking to build a long-term career and grow within the business. Willingness to travel to various sites and locations as required. Opportunity to work from home, subject to business needs.
