We are seeking a reliable Warehouse Forklift Operator to join our client in Headcorn, Kent. In this role, you will be responsible for the efficient movement, loading, unloading and storage of goods using forklifts. You will play a key part in maintaining accurate inventory and ensuring smooth warehouse operations while adhering to strict safety standards.
The role of Warehouse Forklift Operator pay rate is £14.32 per hour. You will need to hold a valid forklift licence; we offer full support for you to succeed in your role!
Shifts for Warehouse Forklift Operator:
- 06:00 to 18:00 Monday to Friday during training period
- Then... 06:00 to 15:00, 09:00 to finish or 15:00 to finish
Pay:
- £14.32 per hour
- Paid weekly
- Overtime opportunities
- Temp to perm with salary review after 3 months
Main Duties of Warehouse Forklift Operator:
- Material Handling: Safely load and unload trailers, lorries and containers.
- Inventory Control: Move, stack and store pallets in designated racking systems or floor locations.
- Equipment Maintenance: Conduct daily pre-shift inspections of forklifts and equipment; report any faults or damage immediately.
- Order Fulfilment: Pick, pack and prepare orders for dispatch; replenish stock in picking areas as required.
- Safety Compliance: Maintain a clean and organised workspace, wear appropriate PPE, and follow all safety procedures to prevent incidents.
- Documentation & Systems: Accurately record stock movements, verify shipments, and use RF scanners/WMS systems for inventory tracking.
About You:
- You must hold a valid forklift licence/certification either in house or national.
- Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or distribution environment.
- Proficiency in operating various forklift types.
- Familiarity with bar code scanners and warehouse management systems (WMS).
- Good physical fitness and ability to lift and move heavy items.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
