Salary: £17.00 per hour

Job Overview:

  • £17.00 per hour
  • Overtime @ 1.5 times the hourly rate
  • 5 on 3 off pattern
  • As early as 0500am start
  • Inhouse training and development
  • Complimentary meals & beverages

  • Paid Holiday
  • Regular shift patterns – 5 on 3 off

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Driving HGV 15 – 18 tonne company liveried vehicles in a secure & controlled environment
  • Carrying out vehicle checks prior to use
  • Loading and unloading catering uplifts to aircraft
  • Liaison with flight crew and working in collaboration with other ground handling suppliers
  • Maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the vehicle
  • Adhering to all Road Traffic Acts and additional Airport By‑laws
  • Additional duties such as Bar and stores packing or search and sealing will be a daily requirement along with any associated paperwork
  • Plus any additional warehouse duties

Requirements of the HGV Driver:

  • Valid clean HGV CAT C Driving Licence (up to 3 points will be considered)
  • Digital Tachograph knowledge and possession of a digital tachograph card
  • Driver CPC qualification essential
  • Previous HGV experience desirable, Airport Airside Driving would be an advantage
  • Knowledge of the Road Traffic Act
  • Previous experience in a catering or hospitality role is desirable but not essential
  • You must be able to work shifts and be keen to learn
  • In addition to job‑related training, you will develop your skills in team work, time management, multi‑tasking, communication and attention to detail
  • All applicants must have the right to work in the UK, undertake a CRC (Criminal Record Check) and provide 5 years of checkable referencing history
  • For any time spent outside the UK exceeding 6 months, you must be able to provide a CRC (Criminal Record Check) for that country
