Hours: Monday to Thursday 9am-5.30pm, Friday 9am-4.30pm in summer and 3.30pm in winter plus Sunday 8.30am-3pm

Overview: Our client is a long-established UK B2B fabric wholesaler with over 140 years of heritage. Supplying fabric retailers and manufacturers across the fashion hobby and craft sectors, they are currently undergoing an exciting re-brand and digital transformation to modernise operations and enhance the customer experience. They are seeking a motivated, commercially astute Sales Executive to drive revenue growth, strengthen key customer relationships, and support the next phase of business expansion. The role focuses on strategic customers including resellers and large production houses.
Role summary: The Sales Executive will play a key role in driving revenue and developing long-term client partnerships. You will manage a portfolio of B2B customers, identify new business opportunities, and deliver a high-quality customer experience through proactive sales activity, strategic account management, and regular in-person visits. Our client is open to appointing either a permanent employed Sales Executive or an experienced Sales Agent on a commission-based structure depending on the candidate.

Key responsibilities:
- Client relationships and account management: Manage and grow a portfolio of B2B clients, building long-term relationships, understanding evolving requirements, and identifying cross-sell and up-sell opportunities through regular contact and performance reviews.
- Sales development and revenue generation: Identify and pursue new business opportunities through research, outbound engagement, and industry networking to drive revenue growth and increase market share.
- Client visits and on-site service: Plan showroom appointments and conduct monthly sales trips, delivering a professional responsive service while identifying growth opportunities.
- Sales forecasting and reporting: Maintain accurate records of sales activity within internal systems and contribute to quarterly sales reviews.
- Cross-functional collaboration: Work closely with buying and merchandising, marketing, and warehouse teams to ensure strategic alignment, consistent service delivery, and effective issue resolution.
Requirements:
- 2-3 years of proven sales experience, preferably within B2B physical products, wholesale, or textiles
- Experience working as a sales agent is advantageous
- Fast learner with strong commercial awareness, common sense, and a positive professional attitude
- Confident communicator with persuasive client-facing skills
- Full UK driving licence with flexibility to travel
- Comfortable using CRM systems and digital sales tools
- Target-driven and commercially focused
