Typical responsibilities include
- Operating a Powered Pallet Truck (PPT) safely.
- Loading and unloading lorries.
- Moving stock between goods-in, storage, production, and dispatch areas.
- Picking orders using handheld scanners or pick sheets.
- Checking goods for damage and reporting shortages.
- Keeping the warehouse clean and following health and safety procedures.
- Completing basic warehouse tasks when required.
Common requirements
- Previous warehouse experience.
- PPT licence or relevant training (some employers provide in-house training).
- Ability to lift and move goods safely.
- Good attention to detail and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including mornings, afternoons, nights, or 4-on/4-off patterns
