WAREHOUSE OPERATIVES WANTED
Pay range: £12.71 – £14.50 per hour
Locations: Heathrow village, Cranford, Ashford, Feltham & Colnbrook
Shifts: AM, PM & Night shifts available – Please note that some clients require full flexibility, including the ability to work rotating AM, PM and night shifts.
Start: Adhoc assignments available straight after registration, we also have assignments that require a full 5 year history check.
This is a general recruitment advert covering a variety of warehouse, cargo and logistics assignments. Available roles, duties, shift patterns and requirements may vary depending on the client and location.
What will your role involve?
- Picking and packing customer orders
- Sorting, scanning and processing parcels using handheld scanners
- Loading and unloading lorries, trailers and delivery vehicles
- Loading and unloading cargo safely and efficiently
- Building and wrapping pallets ready for dispatch
- Breaking down pallets and sorting goods into designated areas
- Moving goods around the warehouse using appropriate equipment
- Checking and preparing items for dispatch
- Staging cargo and preparing shipments for collection
- Loading pallets, cages and other cargo onto vehicles
- Unloading incoming deliveries and checking quantities
- Moving and organising stock within the warehouse
- Following warehouse and cargo-handling procedures
- Carrying out manual handling duties where required
- Keeping work areas clean, organised and safe
- Following all health & safety procedures and instructions
- Working as part of a team to meet daily targets and deadlines
What we are looking for:
- Be able to provide 5 years employment/education history + contact details
- Have a positive, passionate and motivated attitude
- Enjoy working as part of a team
- Can follow instructions accurately
- Are comfortable with manual handling
- Take health & safety seriously
- Are reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Are flexible with working hours where required
Preferred – but NOT essential:
- Experience or qualifications in any of the following would be an advantage:
- Valid Forklift Truck Licence
- Valid Counterbalance Licence
- Valid Reach Truck Licence
- Previous warehouse experience
- No warehouse experience? No problem! Training may be available depending on the role.
Checks & requirements:
Before starting, you will need to complete registration, a right to work check and interview, for some clients this will require you to successfully complete the required 5-year activity/reference checks and criminal record/background checks, as applicable to the role.
Correct documents + completed references/checks = potential quick start.
