The predicted salary is between 30000 - 40000 € per year.

To maintain, inspect, repair and test Menzies aviation and external customers vehicles to prescribed standards in accordance with Department for Transport (DfT), manufacturer and Heathrow airport.

Main accountabilities:

  • To maintain, inspect, repair and test Menzies Aviation and external customers vehicles.
  • Prepare, present, and accompany all HGV and non-HGV vehicles, to annual MOT inspections.
  • Carry out periodic safety inspections to all Menzies aviation Vehicles to VOSA inspection manual standards.
  • Carry out fault diagnosis on complex hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
  • Carry out welding, fabrication and body repairs as required.
  • Attend broken down or accident damaged vehicles and effect permanent or running repairs as required.
  • Complete associated paperwork to ensure that all statistics and legal information are produced, updated dedicated workshop system, as necessary.
  • Ensure that all relevant Health and Safety procedures are adhered to.
  • Maintain work areas in a safe and clean condition.
  • Carry out any other duties as instructed by the supervisor, which are commensurate to the grade of this post.

Safety, Security and Compliance:

  • Carry out all activities of the role and processing activities as directed by the Company through its policies, procedures, and training to ensure the success of the operation.
  • Full compliance with Health & Safety, Training, Equal Opportunities, Harassment, Data Protection, and Security.
  • Remain up to date with all station notices relating to policies and procedures.
  • Remain up to date with all relevant operational, systems and Customer Service training.
  • Always maintain a safe and secure working environment.
  • Comply with the Company’s open, fair, and honest reporting culture.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Experience of working with all types of HGV and light commercial maintenance and repairs.
  • City and Guilds level 3, NVQ or equivalent.
  • Flexible and service minded.
  • Physically fit (must pass Airside Driving Medical).
  • Work under pressure yet maintaining high standards.
  • Work as part of a team and follow instructions.
  • Punctual and reliable.
  • Must be able to work varied shift patterns.
  • Must be able to provide a 5-year checkable reference.
