Food Production Operative
Location: Newmarket
Salary: Β£26,728 per annum
Working Hours: 14:00pm β 22.00pm Monday to Friday

The Role
My client is looking for reliable and motivated Production Operatives to join their team in Newmarket. In this role you will help manufacture, assemble and pack food products while following company procedures and product specifications. You will be part of a team that ensures production runs safely, efficiently and to high standards of hygiene and quality.
Key Responsibilities
- Work safely at all times following company health and safety procedures and wearing the required PPE
- Handle food products while maintaining high personal hygiene and food safety standards
- Operate machinery in line with training and relevant skills
- Work across different areas of the production process to provide flexibility
- Ensure equipment and work areas are cleaned to company hygiene standards before and during production
- Follow a clean as you go approach keeping your area tidy, dry and free from clutter
- Carry out basic production checks such as temperature, product quality, weight and labelling
- Ensure all products and racks are correctly labelled to maintain traceability
- Complete required paperwork and production records accurately and on time
- Report any hazards, defects or issues to the Team Leader
- Support product changeovers and machine set up when required
- Work with the team to achieve daily production targets while maintaining product quality and safety
- Be ready and on the production line at the start of each shift
Skills Knowledge and Experience
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing or production environment is preferred
- Understanding of hygiene and food safety standards
- Knowledge of health and safety procedures
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Basic English communication skills
