Our client is a growing and reputable logistics business specialising in international shipping, freight forwarding and logistics services. They manage a wide range of freight operations including ocean and air freight, customs clearance and warehouse distribution for imports and exports. Due to continued growth and the purchase of a new artic, our client is looking for an experienced Class 1 Driver to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis from mid-September.
The Role
- Driving Class 1 vehicles with both curtain-sided trailers and container skellies
- Covering London Gateway, Felixstowe and Southampton ports
- Completing daily multidrop deliveries
- Delivering goods safely and efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service
- Completing collections and deliveries across the M25 and surrounding areas
- Ensuring all relevant transport and tachograph requirements are adhered to
- Carrying out vehicle checks and reporting any issues appropriately
About You
- A valid Class 1 (C+E) driving licence
- Valid Driver CPC qualification
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience completing multidrop deliveries
- A good knowledge of London, the M25 and surrounding areas
- Previous container experience would be advantageous
- Port cards for Felixstowe, Southampton and London Gateway would be beneficial, although these can be obtained once in the role if required
- A reliable, professional and customer-focused approach
