We have an exciting opportunity to work for a well-known car marketing and auction centre in the Chelmsford area. Pay rates from £13.31 per hour.
Within this role, you will be working as part of the Yard Operations Team, assisting with the daily operations of a busy site through driving and parking various types of vehicles around the yard. You will be reporting to the Yard Team Leader and Supervisor. The yard and halls activities will be predominantly undertaken outdoors, meaning that you will spend a significant proportion of your time exposed to all weather conditions throughout the year.
Shifts: Tuesday - Thursday 8.30 - 5.30. Overtime available. Pay: From £13.31ph, paid weekly.
Responsibilities:- Store and park all vehicles on site within the fleet yard, via agreed valet/wash services, so that vehicles enter and leave the site in accordance with the daily programme.
- Barcode all new vehicles on arrival and tag keys.
- Log and remove any valuable items left in vehicles.
- Be responsible for jump starting vehicles when needed (training provided).
- Politely refer any issues, queries, or complaints to the relevant manager.
- Undertake any other tasks in the yard department to ensure that operational requirements are met within the agreed deadlines.
- Full UK Driving Licence (essential) - you need to be comfortable driving manual and automatic cars.
- You will be passionate about working within the motor industry and take pride in your work, to the highest standards set by customers.
- You will need the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Understand the importance of calibration status on all equipment.
