About the Role – Skilled Mechanic (PSV/HGV)
Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSV/bus mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this Skilled Mechanic position at our Worcester depot could just be the job for you! It offers technical up‑skilling with the potential to gain experience working on our electric vehicles and plenty of career progression.

Responsibilities
- Diagnose and carry out vehicle repairs, servicing, and parts replacement.
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using hand‑held data capture devices if applicable.
- Attend on‑road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries.
- Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair.
Location Worcester
Hours 39 per week on a rotating shift pattern of early and late shifts 5 over 7 days – weekend premium rate for any weekend working.
Pay £19.00 per hour (£38,532 per annum + £3,000 JOINING BONUS!)
About You
- Do you have at minimum a Level 3 NVQ standard of equivalent qualification as a HGV/PSV or bus mechanic?
- Do you have a flexible approach to working hours?
- A PCV licence is desirable; ability to obtain a PCV licence is essential (we will help you obtain this).
- Must have a valid UK driver's licence.
- Experience of working with buses & coaches would be an advantage, but any vehicle mechanic experience will be considered (HGV).
