About the Role - Roadside Recovery Assistant
Do you have a keen interest in mechanics, perhaps a level 2 SVQ? This role can offer great learning and development for someone looking to further their career in engineering. The role of the Roadside Recovery Assistant is to attend and repair vehicle breakdowns on the road, so great if you have a background in mechanics, enjoy driving and want to learn more. It's an important role within our depot with great progression opportunities.
Key Accountabilities
- Attend and repair bus breakdowns
- Booking out parts from Stores when required
- Deliver a high standard of repair/temp repair to get our buses back to the depot
- Complete accurate breakdown records, keeping paperwork up to date and correctly completed
- Carry out any other duties that may be deemed suitable by the engineering manager
Location: Blantyre, G72 0LA
Working Hours: 38 hours per week - 5 days over 7 - day shift and back shift
Hourly Rate: £14.50 per hour
About you
- Are you familiar with mechanical repair techniques and the use of diagnostic equipment?
- You must hold a valid UK driving license
- A PCV Licence is advantageous, not essential, we will help you gain this
- Do you have great attention to detail and a willingness to learn?
