A high profile role, fundamental to the business and responsible for managing the on time delivery of high volume recruitment for bus drivers, including the forecasting, reporting and selection of applicants.
Responsibilities:
- Advertising, sourcing and screening candidates
- Managing the recruitment systems
- Interviewing candidates for multiple roles
- Organising daily workloads for the team and managing the interview diaries
- Managing data input and the candidate/employee databases
- Responsibility for completing and distributing weekly reports
- Responsibility for managing ad hoc projects
- Organising and running open days and recruitment fairs
- Ensuring an understanding of and compliance with Company procedures for Health & Safety, specifically reporting accidents and any defective equipment
The Recruitment Officer works closely with the Recruitment Manager and the Recruitment Team to coordinate all recruitment activity for the business. They also liaise regularly with the Training Manager and Driving Instructors in organising training for new employees. They may be occasionally required to work weekends to co-ordinate and run job fairs and open-days. Excellent customer service with a high volume of phone calls and visitors.
Competencies required:
- Proven experience of working in a high volume recruitment environment
- Good understanding of job boards and where to find the best candidates
- Forward thinking approach, with ability to challenge accepted practices
- Understanding of the bus industry is desirable
- Knowledge of up to date Employment Law
- Experience in an administrative environment
- PC skills, including MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Excellent written and spoken English
