About the role
This role will support the Operations Manager in delivering exceptional On Time Performance across our network. This is a key operational role focused on ensuring services run safely, punctually, reliably and cost‑effectively, all within our operational excellence framework. You will play a vital part in analysing performance data, managing real‑time service delivery, coordinating responses to disruption, and engaging proactively with colleagues across operations, engineering, and the front line to drive continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Monitor and manage real‑time service punctuality and reliability.
- Lead live service control, responding quickly to issues and disruptions.
- Create and communicate disruption plans to drivers and key teams.
- Keep performance systems updated and escalate system or vehicle faults.
- Manage vehicle allocation, breakdowns, changeovers and overall service flow.
- Support drivers with clear, timely communication.
- Analyse performance data and prepare reports to drive improvements.
- Maintain accurate service and punctuality records.
- Investigate incidents and provide recommendations.
- Ensure effective handovers across shifts and strong working relationships across teams.
