On Street Inspector

We have a fantastic opportunity for an On Street Bus Inspector to join our team Operations in Glasgow.

Purpose of Role

To ensure safe, punctual, reliable and cost effective delivery of services by managing the flow of drivers and vehicles along route and communicating issues with schedules, specific drivers and or vehicles. To consistently delivering a great service every day, in order to delight and exceed the customer expectations

What Will You Do?

• Monitor and control services for punctuality or headway
• Communicate with customers, listening to feedback and ensuring they have information immediate to their journey
• Aid drivers and customers.
• Report quality and cleanliness of vehicles and appearance, behaviour and compliance of drivers to the Management team ensuring the high standard of driver appearance is met and report punctuality concerns to the Management team.
• Liaise with Central Control and depot staff to ensure management of services is efficient and effective.
• Take charge of emergency situations, acting as a key contact point, and ensuring compliance with company procedures. 
• Carry out revenue protection duties to protect the company revenue, by checking the authenticity of tickets and issue standard fares when necessary
• Attend incident scenes if required, ensure all customers' and drivers' welfare are attended to, and obtain as much information (including photographs and witness details) as possible

You Must Have

• A good network knowledge 
• PCV License
• CPC Card
• Report writing skills
