Position: PSV/HGV Mechanic

Contracted Hours: 39 per week (permanent + overtime available)

Shifts: Early shifts 05:00-13:30 - other shifts are available (Afternoons & Lates)

Pay Rate: £21.28 per hour

Do you want to be part of our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Norwich? We are looking for NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Engineers – preferably with HGV or PSV experience, however we also welcome applications from ex-Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change.

We offer technical up-skilling and career progression, we'll also provide your PPE and basic tools you'll need to succeed in your role, as well as a competitive hourly rate and great rewards & benefits.

  • Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations using handheld data capture devices if applicable
  • Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries where required
  • Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair

Do you have a Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair – PSV/HGV preferred?

Do you have a flexible approach to work with the ability to multi-skill? Are you a UK driving license holder? A PCV license is desirable however we can help you achieve this.
