As our Mobilisation Project Manager, you’ll take ownership of end-to-end project delivery, working across multiple departments to align operational, financial, and commercial commitments. With a strong focus on stakeholder engagement, risk management, and continuous improvement, you’ll ensure the successful implementation of contracts while also identifying opportunities for business innovation and growth.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Lead end-to-end mobilisation project delivery, ensuring projects are compliant, aligned with the as-bid solution, meet signed-off performance targets, and exceed client expectations—positioning First Bus as a leader in professional, client-focused mobilisations.
  • Develop and continuously improve First Bus\’s mobilisation project management capability, supporting the full lifecycle from bid stage through to successful implementation, driving consistent, high-performing outcomes.
  • Oversee strategic planning and resource management across a 12-month mobilisation pipeline, aligning top talent with priority projects to optimise delivery, manage costs, and support team growth and flexibility.
  • Drive effective team coordination and collaboration, assembling project teams with the necessary skillsets, enabling clear communication, and proactively managing team dynamics to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Implement robust performance tracking and risk management, monitoring KPIs, managing budgets, identifying risks early, and deploying mitigation strategies to ensure delivery remains on track and aligned with strategic goals

What We’re Looking For:

Essentials;

  • Proven project management expertise, supported by relevant training (e.g., PRINCE2, APM, PMP), with a strong track record in developing project processes and successfully delivering high-impact projects that meet strategic goals and client expectations.
  • Strategic, results-focused leader, with strong analytical and financial acumen, able to assess project viability, manage complex operating environments, and influence cross-functional teams while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Resilient and values-driven team player, who communicates with confidence, thrives under pressure, and collaborates effectively to support a high-performance culture aligned with the First Bus business strategy.
