About the Role
We are looking for a dependable and hardworking daytime Bus Cleaner to maintain a clean and safe environment for our passengers and staff. This role involves routine cleaning of the fleet across a set schedule, helping to ensure a positive customer experience and compliance with health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct daily cleaning of buses, including sweeping, mopping, litter removal, and sanitising surfaces.
- Wash the exterior of buses using pressure washers or designated cleaning equipment.
- Ensure the interior of each vehicle meets company cleanliness standards.
- Replenish cleaning and hygiene supplies on vehicles where required.
- Complete checklists and reports on completed cleaning tasks.
- Work collaboratively with team members and supervisors to ensure coverage and efficiency.
- Report any maintenance or damage issues found during cleaning duties.
- Follow all safety protocols and wear the appropriate PPE at all times.
Requirements:
- Previous cleaning experience preferred but not essential – full training provided.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and good time management skills.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including some nights or weekends if required.
- Physically fit and comfortable working in and around vehicles.
Location: Rochdale
Working Hours: 30 hrs per week - daytime hours (including some evenings/weekends as needed)
Hourly Pay Rate: £12.60
