We're looking for an experienced and proactive IT Programme Manager to join our IT team on a 12-month fixed term contract. In this role you will lead the end-to-end delivery and coordination of a multi-workstream IT Digital Transformation portfolio at First Bus London. This hybrid role will be based at Chiswick head office with three days a week working onsite. You'll work across a broad mix of programmes including Enterprise systems, core IT infrastructure, cybersecurity, Data, AI and automation, Fleet and operational technology and subsidiary brand technology.

What you'll be doing

  • You’ll own the day-to-day delivery oversight of our transformation portfolio.
  • Building and maintaining the integrated portfolio view, milestones, dependencies, critical path and the RAID log that keeps the leadership team confident in delivery.
  • Managing a range of system integrators, infrastructure providers and SaaS partners through to delivery.
  • Steering committees, project boards, status reviews and the executive level reporting that keeps our ELT and FirstGroup stakeholders confident.
  • Tracking project budgets against approved business cases and supporting benefits realisation.
  • Working in matrix across IT service delivery, cybersecurity, data and digital functions.
  • Being the single accountable owner when something hits friction and the calm voice.

What we're looking for

  • We're after someone who's a natural communicator and thrives in a busy environment.
  • Previous experience as an IT Project Manager, Programme Manager or an experienced Programme Analyst.
  • Strong working knowledge of SAP and Workday environments.
  • Confident managing system integrators, SaaS vendors and infrastructure partners.
  • Experienced with integrated plans, RAID, governance, status reporting and budget tracker.
  • Familiar with PRINCE2, Agile or hybrid methods.
  • Fluent in MS Project, Smartsheet or Jira.
  • Previous experience within transport, fleet or logistics (desirable).
