Shifts: Nightshift 19:00pm‑06:00am (start finish times can be discussed)

Pay Rate: £22.91 per hour

Are you an electrically minded engineer? Do you want to be part of our dedicated team of mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses across Glasgow? We are looking for NVQ/SVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) qualified Engineers – preferably with HGV or PSV experience, however we also welcome applications from ex‑Forces personnel with an engineering apprenticeship qualification, and experienced engineers from other sectors looking for a change. We offer technical up‑skilling and career progression, we'll also provide your PPE and basic tools you'll need to succeed in your role, as well as a competitive hourly rate and great rewards & benefits.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and carry out vehicle electrical repairs, servicing, and parts replacement
  • Diagnose vehicle electrical faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used
  • Carry out vehicle road testing where necessary to identify specific vehicle defects or following remedial repair
  • To fully comply with all HSE legislation along with Group Policies
  • To fully comply with all relevant Standard Operating Procedures
  • Maintain and develop technical skills as required

About You:

  • Do you have a minimum Level 3 NVQ/SVQ (or City & Guilds equivalent) qualification in vehicle maintenance and repair – PSV/HGV preferred
  • Ability to multi‑skill within an Engineering Environment with preferably electrically biased experience
  • A valid UK driving licence, a PCV licence is desirable, ability to obtain PCV licence is essential
