Job SummaryWe have a great opportunity for a Staff Manager to join our Bristol team on a fullâtime permanent basis. The successful candidate will support and deputise for the Operations Manager to manage all aspects of operational performance including onâtime performance, delivering excellent customer experience, and managing governance to comply with legislation and policy.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and inspire the depot operations team, ensuring compliance with policies and legislation.
Drive performance and punctuality, reducing lost miles and delivering key KPIs.
Support training, induction and development to build a highâperforming, engaged team.
Foster collaboration across operations, engineering and service performance teams for a seamless customer experience.
Manage driver performance, job chats and employee relations, including absence and disciplinary processes.
Maintain accurate records and oversee operational costs within budget.
Build strong relationships with trade unions and external stakeholders.
Champion continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of operations.
Qualifications & Requirements
Previous management or supervisory experience (within the bus/transport industry preferred).
Professional knowledge of the Road Traffic Act and Employment legislation.
Ability to lead and inspire people to seek and follow operational best practice.
Excellent planning and prioritising skills.
Selfâmotivated with a positive approach to change.
Good knowledge of employment legislation.
