About The Role - PSV/HGV Electrician
£3,000 new recruit Joining Bonus!!!
Do you want to be part of our energetic team of HGV/PSV/bus mechanical engineers and maintenance staff repairing our fleet of buses? If yes, then this PSV/HGV Electrician position at our Bristol Lawrence Hill depot could just be the job for you! It offers technical up-skilling and career progression, and you'll also get the chance to work on our state of the art electric vehicles.
We'll provide your overalls and all the basic tools and equipment needed for you to be successful in your role. For helping keep our fleet on the road, you'll earn a good hourly pay rate with premiums, and great rewards & benefits.
Role Responsibilities:
- Diagnose vehicle faults and specify the correct method of repair and parts to be used.
- Carry out vehicle servicing and routine vehicle examinations.
- Attend on-road vehicle breakdowns and recoveries and carry out vehicle road testing where necessary.
- Be fully conversant with the overhaul and repair of vehicle electrical systems including engine management, automatic/semi-automatic gearboxes, electronic braking, suspension, electronic destinations, multiplex wiring systems and E.C.U.
- Be fully familiar with all relevant diagnostic equipment including multi meters, temperature gauges, micrometres, vernier gauges and E.C.U. diagnostic computer equipment.
Location: Bristol - Lawrence Hill
Working Hours: 38 hours per week Wednesday-Saturday 06:00-16:00
Pay: £19.70 per hour - weekend premium rates available - potential to earn an extra £4,000 (or more) per year in addition to the £3,000 new recruit Joining Bonus.
About You:
- Do you possess a minimum level 3 NVQ standard or City & Guilds equivalent qualification?
- Do you have vehicle/auto electrical experience/knowledge?
- A valid UK driving license and the ability to attain a PCV license.
- Do you have Right to Work in the UK?
