About the Role and What You’ll Do

This role is suited to a confident classroom teacher who can extend their impact beyond their own class, model excellent practice for others, and operate effectively alongside clinical and therapy teams. You will remain teaching-focused while contributing meaningfully to staff development, curriculum delivery, and whole-provision consistency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver consistently high-quality teaching to pupils with complex SEND needs
  • Maths and Phonics lead
  • Plan, adapt and deliver curriculum aligned to individual learning plans and EHCP outcomes
  • Model strong classroom management, structure, and inclusive practice across Centre and School settings
  • Support and mentor junior teachers and education staff, including ECTs where applicable
  • Work closely with Room Leads, Clinical Supervisors and therapy staff to ensure educational and therapeutic alignment
  • Contribute to curriculum development, planning, and quality assurance activity
  • Use assessment and progress data to inform teaching, intervention, and next steps
  • Uphold safeguarding, behaviour, and professional standards across all learning environments

What you bring

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Minimum 3 years’ teaching experience
  • Strong SEND classroom practice and behaviour management skills
  • Experience in planning and delivering a differentiated curriculum
  • Confidence mentoring, coaching, or supporting other staff
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
  • High professional standards, consistency, and sound judgement
  • Experience in specialist SEND, autism, or alternative provision
  • Familiarity with EHCP-led planning and individualised outcomes
  • Experience working alongside therapists or clinical teams
  • Contribution to curriculum or school development initiatives
