An established and growing business within the industrial sector is seeking a Transport & Logistics Administrator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis. This is a varied logistics and operations role supporting transport coordination, fleet servicing, and customer requirements, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment where organisation, communication, and problem-solving are key.
Key Responsibilities of a Transport & Logistics Administrator
- Coordinate daily transport schedules, vehicle allocations, and driver bookings
- Monitor transport operations and support with resolving delays or issues
- Act as a key point of contact for drivers, customers, and service partners
- Maintain accurate records including bookings, delivery notes, compliance documentation, and service logs
- Support transport compliance in line with UK regulations and company procedures
- Arrange vehicle maintenance, repairs, and third-party servicing appointments
- Assist with operational reporting including KPIs, utilisation, and service performance
- Support incident response including breakdowns or service disruptions
- Liaise closely with warehouse, customer service, procurement, and management teams
- Provide general administrative support across transport and logistics operations
Key Skills of a Transport & Logistics Administrator
- Previous experience within transport, logistics, scheduling, fleet administration, or a similar operational support role
- Full UK driving licence and own transport
- IT confident, including transport systems, scheduling tools, and spreadsheets
- Knowledge of UK transport regulations, including driver hours, tachographs, and vehicle safety would be beneficial
- Logistics qualifications or CPC knowledge would be advantageous
