Trainer / Instructor / Assessor – 6955
Location: Stonehouse, Gloucestershire UK-wide travel and occasional international travel required
Hours: Full-time Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:45 45-minute lunch break Flexibility required for travel and occasional overnight stays, up to one week
Key Responsibilities of a Trainer / Instructor / Assessor
- Deliver classroom and practical training across a range of industry sectors.
- Train and assess candidates to recognised industry standards.
- Travel throughout the UK and occasionally overseas to deliver customer training.
- Work closely with customers to understand and meet their training requirements.
- Promote the company's services professionally while working on customer sites.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry best practice and health and safety legislation.
- Key Skills of a Trainer / Instructor / Assessor
- Previous experience delivering training or assessments within relevant industry sectors.
- Strong presentation, communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent organisational and time management skills.
- Customer-focused with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Essential Criteria of a Trainer / Instructor / Assessor
- Minimum three years' relevant industry experience.
- Teaching, Instructor or Train the Trainer qualification.
- Emergency First Aid at Work (EFAW) and general Health & Safety qualification, such as IOSH or NEBOSH.
- Relevant operator and/or instructor licences.
- Valid passport where required.
- Able to pass a DBS check and obtain required security clearances.
- Advantageous Experience
Experience delivering training in areas such as
- Working at Height, Confined Spaces and Manual Handling.
- Lifting Operations, including overhead, jib and gantry cranes.
- NRSWA Street Works and Utility Sector training.
- Material Handling Equipment, Plant Equipment and Machinery.
- Health & Safety, including NEBOSH, IOSH and CCNSG.
- Abrasive Wheels, Power Tools and Construction Operations.
- First Aid and Fire Safety.
