Job Purpose
Our client is looking for an experienced CNC Turner to join their manufacturing team.
The successful candidate will set and operate CNC turning machinery to manufacture precision components, working to engineering drawings and required tolerances.
Key Responsibilities
- Setting and operating CNC turning machines
- Working with Fanuc-controlled CNC machinery
- Setting tools, offsets and workholding
- Carrying out tool changes and basic programme edits
- Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Inspecting components using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment
- Ensuring components meet required quality and dimensional standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Key Skills and Experience
- Previous experience as a CNC Turner, CNC Setter/Operator or similar
- Strong setting and operating experience with CNC lathes
- Fanuc controls experience is essential
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Good knowledge of machining processes, tooling and precision measuring equipment
- Reliable and flexible approach with the ability to work a double day shift pattern
