CNC Machinist
Location: Stroud, Gloucestershire
Hours: Double Day Shift or Permanent Nights
Salary: Negotiable DOE
Type: Permanent
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Machinist:
- Setting and operating CNC milling or turning machines to manufacture precision components
- Working from detailed engineering drawings and specifications
- Carrying out tool changes, offsets and basic programme edits where required
- Inspecting components using micrometers, verniers and other measuring equipment
- Ensuring components are manufactured to required tolerances and quality standards
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised working environment
- Working closely with production and quality teams to meet production targets
- Supporting continuous improvement and efficiency initiatives
Key Skills of a CNC Machinist:
- Previous experience as a CNC Machinist, CNC Setter/Operator or similar
- Experience with CNC milling or turning machinery
- Knowledge of Fanuc, Mazak or similar controls would be advantageous
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Flexible and reliable with the ability to work a double day shift pattern
