Key Responsibilities of a Scrum Master

  • Facilitate all Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Backlog Refinement and Retrospectives
  • Represent the team within the SAFe framework, contributing to PI Planning and ART syncs
  • Support delivery of high-quality software aligned to sprint goals and Definition of Done
  • Identify and remove impediments impacting delivery, quality or team performance
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date tracking within Azure DevOps
  • Monitor and report on team performance using metrics such as velocity, cycle time and progress
  • Coach and mentor teams and stakeholders on Agile and Lean principles
  • Drive continuous improvement across processes and team performance

Key Skills

  • CSM or A-CSM certification is essential
  • Proven experience as a Scrum Master within a software development environment
  • Strong working knowledge of SAFe, including PI Planning and ART coordination
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle, including DevOps and CI/CD
  • Advanced experience using Azure DevOps for backlog management and reporting
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders
