Mechanical Inspector in Poole

Mechanical Inspector 7083 Location: Poole, Dorset Hours: Full-time Salary: Competitive / dependent on experience. The Role First Base Employment is currently recruiting for a Mechanical Inspector to join an established precision engineering environment based in Poole. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quality Inspector or Mechanical Inspector with a background in precision engineering, aerospace or manufacturing. The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out detailed dimensional and visual inspections, ensuring components meet engineering drawings, specifications and required quality standards. Key Responsibilities of a Mechanical Inspector: * Carrying out dimensional and visual inspections throughout the manufacturing process. * Completing first-off, FAIR, final and goods-in/goods-out inspections. * Ensuring components meet engineering drawings and customer specifications. * Raising non-conformance reports (NCRs) and ensuring defective products are correctly identified and contained. * Completing First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs). * Preparing and approving certificates of conformity. * Supporting root cause and corrective action meetings. Key Skills of a Mechanical Inspector: * Previous experience in a mechanical inspection or quality inspection position. * Experience working within an engineering or aerospace manufacturing environment. * Ability to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications. * Understanding of dimensional and visual inspection techniques. * Knowledge of FAIRs and non-conformance procedures. * Excellent attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality
