Location: Gloucester

Hours: Day shift – Full-time

Pay: £18.00 – £20.00 per hour, depending on experience

We are working with a specialist welding and fabrication company based in Gloucester who are looking to appoint an experienced machinist to join their small, close-knit team on a full-time basis.

Key Responsibilities of a Machinist:

  • Machining fabricated components to customer and engineering specifications
  • Reading and working from detailed engineering drawings
  • Operating conventional lathes, milling machines, and a horizontal borer (SJ-100)
  • Using own initiative and supporting other team members where required

Key Skills of a Machinist:

  • Strong understanding of machining practices
  • Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings
  • Confident working independently and as part of a team
  • Prior experience with horizontal borers desirable – training will be provided if needed
