CNC Miller Setter Operator

Location: Coventry

Hours: Double days

Salary: 16.69 an hour

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller Setter Operator

  • Set up and operate milling machines and associated equipment safely and efficiently.
  • Produce components in accordance with technical drawings, route cards, and work instructions.
  • Carry out tool changes, offset adjustments, and machine parameter settings as required.
  • Conduct quality checks using appropriate measuring and gauging equipment and ensure all documentation is accurately completed.
  • Maintain and improve 5S standards on the shop floor.
  • Participate in routine maintenance and Total Preventive Maintenance (TPM) activities.
  • Identify and highlight opportunities for process and efficiency improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with all departmental and company quality standards.
  • Work safely and report any health and safety risks.
  • Train and support other operators as required.
  • Liaise with other departments to support production schedules.
  • Perform any additional ad-hoc duties as necessary.
