Job Description

Assembly Fitter – Gloucester\\n\\nPermanent – £14.85 – £16.97 per hour dependent on experience plus an excellent range of benefits\\n\\nDay shift hours – 7.15am – 4.15pm (12.15pm on Friday)\\n\\nPurpose of the role\\n\\nThis role is to provide the business with an appropriate level of set skills to carry out strip, assembly, and instrumentation testing of a range of valves repairs that will be undertaken by the business, with minimal supervision.\\n\\nPrimary Tasks:\\n\\n * Carry out the assembly and commissioning of repaired or new valves to the appropriate standard and specification set in place by the relevant supporting documents.\\n\\n * Testing of valves to appropriate standards or to the client’s specific test requirements.\\n\\n * Completion of customer specific documentation.\\n\\n * Ensuring that the appropriate hold points/inspection points are adhered to, as 3rd party signatories/verification.\\n\\n * Understand the customer’s requirements as regards deliveries which may involve excessive hours to achieve required deliveries.\\n\\n * Maintain a good level of housekeeping within the working environment you are currently in.\\n\\n * Carry out responsibility with regards the company’s, its customers’ and statutory requirements for health, safety, and the environment.\\n\\n * Positively promote the company’s products/services/reputation through actions of conduct.\\n\\nExperience and qualifications:\\n\\n * Engineering apprentice trained or equivalent is desirable\\n\\n * Engineering background.\\n\\n * Good level of knowledge in carrying out mechanical assembly and testing.\\n\\n * To confidently be able to carry out the installation of instrumentation along with instrumentation diagnostics.\\n\\n * Good standard of mathematical ability\\n\\n * Basic computer literacy\\n\\nPay and benefits:\\n\\n * £14.85 – £16.97 per hour plus overtime rates\\n\\n * Annual Salary Review\\n\\n * Holidays 25 days plus Bank Holidays.\\n\\n * Xmas shutdown\\n\\n * Company Pension Scheme Salary Sacrifice (5% employee/7% employer)\\n\\n * Death in Service Benefit – 3 x basic salary (permanent employees)\\n\\n * Company sick pay in place\\n\\n * Employee Assistance Programme
