Our client is looking for an Account Manager to support growth and customer satisfaction across the wholesale food and beverage sector. This role will focus on managing and developing customer relationships, driving new business opportunities and supporting overall sales performance within a fast-paced commercial environment.

You will play a key role in managing existing accounts while proactively identifying opportunities to grow revenue, strengthen partnerships and deliver a consistently high level of service.

Key Responsibilities of an Account Manager:
  • Develop and maintain strong, long-term relationships with new and existing wholesale customers.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customer enquiries via phone and email, providing accurate quotations and managing orders end to end.
  • Coordinate customer orders, ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and on time.
  • Negotiate pricing, delivery arrangements, costs and product specifications with customers and buyers.
  • Manage customer accounts effectively, including monitoring payments and supporting healthy account performance.
  • Identify market trends, customer insights and growth opportunities, providing feedback to support commercial decision-making.
  • Work towards agreed monthly and annual sales targets with the support of senior management.
  • Monitor and report on sales performance, including key accounts and product activity.
  • Attend customer meetings and on-site visits to strengthen relationships and develop new business.
  • Work closely with internal teams, including procurement, to support pricing discussions and track sales progression.
  • Support new customer acquisition and ongoing pipeline development.
Key Skills of an Account Manager:
  • Proven experience in B2B sales or account management within a relevant sector.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Highly self-motivated with the ability to manage a busy workload independently.
  • Excellent listening skills with the ability to quickly understand customer needs.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Confident IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Commercially aware with a proactive and professional approach.
