Key Responsibilities of a CNC Setter/Operator
- To set and operate CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality standards.
- Set CNC machines to produce components efficiently and to the required quality.
- Obtain Quality Control authorisation on the first off components.
- Check all components are machined from the correct material.
- Ensure all components are processed in accordance with the production layout, raising any discrepancies or required amendments with supervision.
- Ensure all components are machined to drawing dimensions and tolerances.
- Ensure all processes are performed efficiently and within set cycle times.
- Comply with the company’s Quality Control procedures at all times.
- Comply with the company’s Health and Safety policy at all times.
- Recommend improvements to methods or processes to enhance quality or efficiency.
- Maintain work area and machinery in a clean, tidy and organised condition.
- Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested.

- Experience setting and operating CNC machinery.
