Key Responsibilities of a Saw & Raw Materials Stores Person- Receive, allocate and prepare raw materials for manufacturing
- Operate band saws to cut material bars into billets
- Safely operate forklift trucks and pedestrian trucks
- Maintain material identification and traceability
- Calculate material requirements using metric and imperial measurements
- Store materials safely and accurately within the warehouse
- Assist with stock takes and inventory control activities
- Support goods receiving and stores operations as required
- Assist with metal waste segregation and disposal
- Maintain excellent housekeeping and health & safety standards
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
- Good numeracy skills with confidence using metric and imperial measurements
- Experience using stock control or allocation systems
- Ability to use measuring equipment such as tape measures and rules
- Good communication skills
- Previous stores or manufacturing experience desirable
- Forklift licence advantageous
