CNC Miller

Location: Stonehouse

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 4:00pm

Salary: Up to £24.00 per hour

Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities of a CNC Miller:
  • Setting and operating CNC milling machines to produce precision components to tight tolerances
  • Working across multi-axis machining centres within a modern manufacturing environment
  • Completing full machine setups, including tooling and fixture adjustments where required
  • Supporting improvements in tooling, setup methods, and machining processes
  • Assisting and supporting other operators with machine operation and inspection standards when needed
  • Carrying out self-inspection of components and ensuring quality standards are consistently met
  • Working from engineering drawings, route cards, and inspection documentation, ensuring accurate recording of information
  • Carrying out basic machine checks and preventative maintenance in line with procedures
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping at all times
Key Skills of a CNC Miller:
  • Previous experience setting and operating CNC milling machines in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Experience working with multi-axis machining centres and modern CNC controls (Mazatrol experience advantageous)
  • Time-served or qualified in a machining or engineering discipline (desirable)
  • Strong ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working to tight tolerances in a precision engineering environment
  • Confident reading and interpreting engineering drawings and inspection documentation
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive and flexible approach to machining methods
  • Reliable with a strong attendance and timekeeping record
