We are recruiting for a Project Coordinator to join a well-established business based in Gloucester. This role would suit someone at an early stage of their project management career who is looking to build experience, develop their skills and support the delivery of projects across the organisation.
The Role
You will support the coordination and day-to-day management of projects, working alongside experienced Project Managers and internal teams. The role involves a mix of planning, administration, communication and contractor coordination to help ensure projects run smoothly and to schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of project activities
- Assist with creating and maintaining project plans, schedules and documentation
- Monitor project progress and update trackers and reports
- Coordinate meetings and record notes and actions
- Communicate updates, risks and issues to relevant stakeholders
- Support the management of project changes and dependencies
- Help ensure project tasks are completed to agreed deadlines and standards
- Maintain accurate project records and systems
- Assist with planning maintenance and refurbishment schedules
- Support contractor coordination and scheduling
- Assist with health and safety checks, audits and documentation
- Provide support with procurement and ordering of materials
- Help maintain fault and defect reporting for assets and equipment
Key Skills & Experience
- Some experience in project coordination, administration or a similar role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks
- Good time management and attention to detail
- Confident using Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Awareness of project management tools or systems is beneficial but not essential
- Understanding of basic project management principles is advantageous
- Clear communication skills and a proactive, reliable approach
Qualifications
Relevant experience is valued over formal qualifications. Project management training or certifications are advantageous but not required.
