Hours: Monday to Thursday: 7:00am – 4:00pm, Friday: 7:00am – 1:00pm
Salary: £40,000 – £46,000 per annum dependent on experience
Key Responsibilities of a CNC Programmer- Create CNC programmes using Alphacam from customer-supplied CAD files including DWG, DXF, STEP and SOLIDWORKS formats
- Produce efficient machining programmes for HAAS 3-axis, 4-axis and 5-axis machining centres
- Select suitable tooling, fixtures and work holding methods to support accurate and efficient machining
- Design jigs and programme soft jaws where required
- Support setter/operators during machine set‑up and production
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, quality and productivity
- Assist with the introduction of Fusion 360 and CloudNC as part of the company’s digital manufacturing development
- Provide programming input to help improve machining performance and efficiency
- Previous experience programming CNC machines offline using Alphacam
- Strong background working with HAAS machining centres
- A minimum of 3 years of machining, setting and operating experience
- At least 1 year of offline programming experience
- Ability to work from customer CAD files and create accurate machining programmes
- Experience selecting tooling and work holding solutions
- Relevant engineering qualification such as Apprenticeship, NC or HNC
- A proactive and quality-focused approach
