Warehouse Team Member
Location: Cheltenham
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:00amβ5:00pm
Job Type: Full-time β Temporary to Permanent
Pay:Circa Β£30,000
Our client is looking for a reliable and hands-on Warehouse Team Member to join their small team in Cheltenham. The role will involve supporting the day-to-day warehouse operation, including goods-in, stock put-away and, primarily, the accurate picking and packing of customer orders.
As part of a small team, the successful candidate will be trustworthy, take ownership of their responsibilities and be willing to support colleagues during busy periods.
Key Responsibilities of a Warehouse Team Member:
- Receive and check incoming deliveries
- Put stock away safely and in the correct locations
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately, neatly and to a high standard
- Operate forklift trucks and order-picking equipment where required
- Ensure orders are prepared and dispatched on time
- Maintain a clean, tidy and well-organised warehouse
- Work closely with colleagues to meet daily workload requirements
- Support the wider warehouse team during busy periods
Key Skills of a Warehouse Team Member:
- Previous warehouse experience would be beneficial
- A forklift licence would be advantageous, although training may be available
- Previous warehouse leadership or supervisory experience would be desirable
- Physically fit and comfortable working in an active role
- Strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy
- Trustworthy, positive and responsible approach to work
- Able to work independently and as part of a small team
- Clear and respectful communication skills
- Good common sense and the ability to use initiative
- Flexible and willing to go the extra mile when required
