The Role

We are recruiting for a Production Planner to join a busy aerospace manufacturing business in Staverton.

This is a key position within the manufacturing team, responsible for providing hands-on planning and procurement support across the organisation.

The successful candidate will manage production schedules, customer order books, material procurement and supplier coordination, ensuring parts move efficiently through the entire manufacturing lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create works orders and production routings for shop floor operations.
  • Plan methods, activities and schedules across the full lifecycle of manufactured parts.
  • Procure materials from approved suppliers.
  • Manage a portfolio of customer accounts and oversee their complete order book.
  • Coordinate suppliers for materials, consumables and subcontract operations.
  • Monitor stock levels, forecast requirements and respond quickly to changing production demands.
  • Liaise with internal departments to manage forecasts, availability and production priorities.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing and ERP system data.
  • Support KPI reporting, audits and continuous improvement activities.
  • Promote and maintain a safety-first culture.

About You

Essential

  • Proven experience in a production planning role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong understanding of production planning processes and aerospace engineering requirements.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • Hands-on, proactive and highly organised approach.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
  • High-level IT skills, including Excel and ERP systems.
  • Experience coordinating raw materials and outsourced services in a timely and cost-effective manner.

Desirable

  • Experience working within an aerospace manufacturing supply chain.
  • Knowledge of Tricorn and/or SAP systems.
