Business Support Administrator 7033
Location: Dursley, Gloucestershire
Hours: Full Time Permanent Monday - Friday, 9:00am - 5:00pm
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum
Our client is looking for an organised and proactive Business Support Administrator to provide administrative, compliance and operational support across the business. This is a varied position covering general business administration, compliance, health & safety, documentation and operational support, working closely with different departments and external providers.
Key Responsibilities of a Business Support Administrator :
- Provide administrative and operational support across the business
- Maintain accurate compliance records, documentation and internal systems
- Monitor relevant regulatory and industry requirements and keep internal teams updated
- Complete and maintain supplier and customer compliance documentation
- Maintain product information, commodity codes, export descriptions and supporting records
- Liaise with external Health & Safety advisers and coordinate agreed actions
- Maintain COSHH documentation including Safety Data Sheets and associated records
- Support the preparation and collation of documentation for ISO audits
- Provide day-to-day GDPR administration and maintain accurate records
- Support the annual insurance renewal process and coordinate required informationMaintain accurate paperwork, electronic filing and confidential records
- Support the Managing Director and Operations Manager with administration, research and ad hoc projects
- Work with other departments to ensure documentation and actions are completed on time
- Provide administrative and operational cover across the wider business when required
- Arrange pallet bookings and obtain freight quotations
- Check freight invoices and liaise with suppliers regarding warehouse requirements
- Support import, export and regulatory documentation
- Generate and process customer invoices accurately and on time
- Verify order information and supporting documentation prior to invoicing
Key Skills of a Business Support Administrator :
- Previous experience within a busy office-based administration, business support or compliance role
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Confident communicating with colleagues, customers, suppliers and external providers
- Good numeracy and literacy skills
- Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
- Ability to learn and confidently use internal business systems
- Proactive and dependable approach to work
- Comfortable researching information and escalating queries where appropriate
- Experience with ISO, Health & Safety administration, GDPR, import/export documentation or compliance would be advantageous
