We are recruiting a hands-on Toolmaker Engineering Technician to join a busy manufacturing site in Bridgwater. This role focuses on high-precision toolmaking to tight tolerances, supporting production efficiency, equipment reliability and site safety. You will play a key role in enabling fast responses to new designs and production demands while maintaining the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities of a Toolmaker Engineering Technician

  • Manufacture and refurbish high-precision, low-tolerance tooling to engineering drawings
  • Operate manual and CNC machinery, including XYZ ProTrak machines
  • Support tooling design and development in collaboration with engineering teams
  • Provide creative, practical solutions to manufacturing challenges
  • Maintain a clean, safe and efficient workshop environment
  • Support maintenance activities when required
  • Contribute to continuous improvement and manufacturing excellence initiatives
  • Assist with mentoring apprentices and sharing technical knowledge
