We are recruiting Forklift Operatives for an immediate start at a busy distribution centre in Sharpness. This is a full-time opportunity offering excellent rates of pay and the chance to secure a permanent position following a successful temporary period.
Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operative:
- Loading and unloading deliveries safely and efficiently
- Placing goods into designated storage locations
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Operating Counterbalance and/or Bendi forklift trucks
- Using RF scanners to process stock movements
- Carrying out manual handling duties, including lifting items up to 25kg
- Maintaining a safe, clean and organised working environment
The Successful Forklift Operative Will Have:
- A valid Counterbalance and/or Bendi Forklift Truck licence
- Previous forklift and warehouse experience
- A reliable and hardworking attitude
- Good communication skills and a good command of English
- Safety boots and a high-visibility vest (can be provided if required)
- Own transport due to the location
- Flexibility to move onto a rotating shift pattern in the future if required
