Working with the team leader within the DF development team to assist establish and enforce best practice processes and procedures, giving technical guidance, oversight and mentoring to team members. To build and deliver robust solutions and assist ensure the team delivers solutions which are aligned with current development strategy and information security standards.
- Support team growth
- Acquire a clear understanding of business objectives and their IT implications through knowledge of business and IT strategic plans.
- Provide technical expertise and mentoring to team members.
- Ensure the design, implementation and delivery of project team’s software and product development is in accordance with strategy and meets the required levels of information security and quality.
- Support the team leaders by providing feedback on the project team member’s performance.
- Maintenance of a high-level understanding of trends within the IT sector.
- Continued support of best-practice development and support environment including security and access system controls, appropriate segregation of development, testing, training and production environments and execution of appropriate quality assurance processes ensuring all development work complies with the company’s policies and procedures and works within the ISO27001 accredited framework.
- Solutions delivery
- Development of specific business applications; primarily within its online environment, where no appropriate solutions exist within the group or in the market.
- Support the Product Owner, Development Manager and Team Leader to drive out the requirements in refinement and planning seeing requests from inception through implementation.
- Management and execution of all aspects of the systems development life cycle consistent with the development standards of the team.
- Delivery of technical documentation including user guides and handover documents of all supported systems sufficient to ensure business continuity with no impact on service levels.
- Relationship management
- Development of strong working relationships with internal business units.
- Development of strong working relationships with external development, technology partners or customer contacts, where appropriate.
- Continual peer networking and industry research.

Technical Competencies
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of the DF Lender Exchange platform and components
- Experience of legal/conveyancing, insurance or banking sectors.
- Experience of working within an ISO27001 certified business including developing, documenting and implementing information security policies.
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of working within an Agile team, working with Azure Devops boards, repos and pipelines.
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of systems development in a Microsoft technical architecture and development platform, particularly .NET C# and SQL Server and Windows Server
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of Rabbit MQ
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of Elastic and Kibana
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of Identity Management services, in particular Identity Server
- A strong and demonstrable knowledge of Secure Software Development Processes including software deployment
- Strong analytical, conceptual and problem solving skills
