First Achieves engineering department are working with a well-established organisation within the water and wastewater sector who are seeking a Maintenance Electrician to join their site-based maintenance team at a Wastewater Treatment Works in Leven. This role offers a stable weekday schedule, strong earning potential through overtime, and the opportunity to work within critical national infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities of the role include:

  • Carry out planned and reactive electrical maintenance on site
  • Electrical fault finding and diagnostics
  • Interpret electrical drawings, schematics, and O&M manuals
  • Work with PLCs and star/delta starters
  • Support mechanical fitters when required
  • Assist in the development of apprentice engineers
  • Contribute to a structured site maintenance regime

Essential experience for the role:

  • Time-served electrician or HNC Equivalent qualification in Electrical engineering
  • Strong electrical fault-finding capability
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
  • Flexible and proactive approach
  • Wastewater / industrial maintenance experience preferred but not essential
  • Comfortable working with heights and in confined spaces
  • Physically fit, this is a hands on role

Desirable (but not essential):

  • Safe isolation of electrical and mechanical equipment
  • Training or awareness of LOLER, PUWER, DSEAR
  • HV competency
