Are you an experienced Plant Fitter looking to take the next step in your career? First Achieve’s Engineering Division is proud to be working with a leading and forward-thinking geotechnical contractor, now seeking to add a skilled Plant Fitter to their growing team.
The Role
Based out of the Hamilton workshop, you’ll play a key role in maintaining and servicing a fleet of specialist plant machinery, including:
- Rotary and sonic drilling rigs
- Cable percussion rigs
- Tracked support plant
This is a hands-on, varied role that offers plenty of travel across Scotland — perfect for someone who enjoys field work, problem-solving, and working on diverse, complex machinery.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Routine maintenance and repairs to a range of drilling and plant equipment
- Diagnosing faults on hydraulic and electrical systems
- Ensuring all machinery operates safely and efficiently
- Supporting site operations across Scotland (occasional UK travel)
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience as a Plant Fitter / Plant Mechanic
- Strong knowledge of hydraulic and electrical systems (drilling rig experience desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
- A proactive, adaptable, and hands-on approach
