Are you a commercially minded Data Analyst looking to make a real impact in a high-precision engineering and manufacturing environment? We are hiring for a leading engineering client at their Glasgow site, providing advanced manufacturing solutions across multiple sites in the UK and Poland.

In this role, you will extract, analyse, and transform MRP and operational data into actionable insights and intuitive Power BI dashboards that drive data-led decision-making across engineering and manufacturing operations.

  • Data Analysis & Insight
  • Analyse MRP data including materials, production, inventory, demand planning, capacity, and lead times
  • Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within operational and manufacturing data
  • Support root cause analysis for operational challenges such as stock shortages, excess inventory, or production inefficiencies
  • Reporting & Power BI
  • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports
  • Act as a trusted data partner to Operations, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Finance, and Engineering teams
  • Data Governance & Quality
  • Ensure data integrity, consistency, and accuracy across reports and dashboards
  • Document data definitions, metrics, and report logic
  • Support improvements in data structures, data flows, and reporting processes
  • Highlight data quality issues and work with system owners to resolve them

Proven experience in a Data Analyst or Business Intelligence role within manufacturing or engineering

Strong experience working with MRP/ERP data (materials, BOMs, routings, production orders, inventory)

Advanced Power BI skills and data modelling

Strong SQL skills for data extraction and transformation

Understanding of supply chain, production planning, and inventory management

Experience handling large, complex datasets across multiple business units

Curious and proactive, passionate about turning data into insight
