First Achieve Engineering Recruitment are supporting their prestigious client to add 2 Instrument Technicians to join their manufacturing site. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established engineering business manufacturing complex metal components for prestigious international customers. Following full training, these positions will operate on a continental shift pattern.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate and maintain heat treatment furnaces and associated equipment
  • Carry out TUS and SAT testing to required standards
  • Perform preventative maintenance and respond to equipment breakdowns
  • Ensure accurate calibration and documentation is maintained
  • Respond quickly and efficiently to breakdown situations
  • Support production teams to achieve quality and delivery targets
  • Maintain high standards of health & safety and housekeeping
  • Contribute to continuous improvement activities
  • Provide support across wider plant areas when required

What we are looking for:

  • Experience in furnace operation and maintenance
  • HNC/HND in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering (or similar discipline)
  • Knowledge of quality systems and safe working practices
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
  • Flexible approach to work and willingness to support different areas
  • A continuous improvement mindset

Shift Pattern & Benefits:

  • Continental shift pattern averaging 42 hours per week
  • Competitive salary with pay reviews upon successful completion of 3 months and again after 6 months
